Pete Wilson

Pete Wilson
Born: Barrie, Ontario
As a youngster, Pete was deep in a musical love affair with the ukulele. This instrument fit Pete very well. He was inspired by greats such as Don Ho and Tiny Tim. Then as a teenager the peer pressure to become a young rockin’ stud started to take over. This started his long and illustrious career with the guitar. Anyone who has witnessed Pete playing at a Crawl Gig quickly notices the musical prowess that he has. In the eyes of many, he is a true Guitar God. Pete hates me saying this about him, being of a humble mind, but he truly is that good.
In the 80s and 90s, he toured across Ontario in several high end rock bands which included Midnight Soldier, The Blue Barrie Jam Band, and Hot Lyxx.
The band that gave him his closest brush with musical stardom was “The Game”. This group was a collection of top quality musicians. They had a strong following and built themselves up to a level where they backed up groups such as Kim Mitchell, Pat Travers, Honeymoon Suite and Brighton Rock. Quite the resume!
Anyone who has tried, knows that unless you make it really big, music simply doesn’t pay the bills towards the good life. Pete and Suzy, the love of his life, wanted to start a family together. They soon moved to Vancouver Island and started on their new path. He is now a successful entrepreneur. They own PR Wilson Interiors, a drywall construction company.
Once his new work world was established, Pete discovered a renewed longing for music. His return to the guitar was just around the corner. One night at a house party in Victoria, he was introduced to the guys that would soon come together to become “The Crawl”. They all quickly became good friends. Pete and Suzy call the band their “extended family”. Suzy loves the band and is an integral member of it. She is the true antithesis to Yoko Ono.
We are very lucky to have Pete in this group. He brings his best every day.
